The Opportunity: At Fitness & Lifestyle Group, our clubs are where hundreds of thousands of members come to train, recharge and improve their wellbeing. Clean, safe, and well-maintained environments are essential to delivering that experience. We are seeking a National Cleaning Contracts Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of our national cleaning program across Australia. In this role, you will oversee external cleaning partners who service our club network, ensuring consistent standards, safety and compliance while delivering a best-in-class environment for our members and teams. Working closely with operational leaders across the business, you will drive supplier performance, manage commercial outcomes and continuously improve how cleaning services are delivered across the portfolio. This is a high-impact role that combines contract management, operational oversight and stakeholder partnership to ensure every club meets the standards our members expect. Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Contract & Supplier Management Own and manage relationships with national cleaning suppliers. Act as the primary point of contact between FLG Operations and cleaning contractors. Ensure suppliers deliver services in line with agreed scope, SLAs and KPIs. Lead regular supplier performance reviews (weekly, monthly, and quarterly). Manage contract variations, extensions and scope changes. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations including insurances, WHS and labour standards. Operational Performance Management Monitor cleaning performance across the national club network. Support the development of unified reporting and performance dashboards. Investigate service failures or escalations and implement corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues. Work with Area Managers, Club Managers, and suppliers to resolve localised service challenges. Scope & Standards Governance Maintain and continuously improve cleaning standards and specifications. Validate that deep cleans are delivered on time and to the required standard. Review cleaning scope versus allocated hours and recommend adjustments where needed. Conduct site audits (both in person and virtually) to verify supplier performance. Financial & Commercial Oversight Manage cleaning contracts within approved budgets. Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and value optimisation. Support pricing negotiations, variations and additional works. Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for cleaning services. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with key internal stakeholders including senior leadership, regional operations and finance. Act as the escalation point for cleaning-related issues across the network. Build productive and professional relationships with suppliers and operational leaders. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve cleaning service delivery models. Introduce innovation in cleaning processes, technology and reporting. Benchmark supplier performance against industry best practice. About you: You are a commercially minded operator who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You enjoy building strong supplier relationships while holding partners accountable to high standards of delivery. You bring a balance of contract management, operational oversight and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvement across a complex national portfolio. You will bring: Essential Experience managing national or multi-site service contracts(preferably cleaning, facilities, or maintenance) Strong supplier and vendor management capability Experience monitoring service performance, SLAs and KPIs.
